The Bees are back - Tag by Susanne

Hi everyone!!!

It's March, that means for me: I am in a BIG spring mood. I love how the air is smelling and the flowers are growing. One special moment every year is, when the bees come out! So I'm sharing a bee tag today!

I used the Rubber Dance Buzzy Bees together with a lot of STAMPlorations stencils on the background. Building layers creates a lot of dimension.
I used gelli printed scraps where I cut hearts from with the Sizzix Tim Holtz Heartfelt die. The Bees are stamped on old book paper and coloured with watercolour pencils.

Thank you for stopping by today! xx Susanne.

March Theme Challenge Reminder

Hi there!!!

Kymona shares some inspiration to remind you on our March Theme challenge.

Kymona made three lovely cards with the Textured Flowers stamp set.
She used a gelli press plate to create the watercolour background, then stamped the flowers on top. She also added some of the small detail stamps to take up some of the white space.

Thank you so much Kymona for these three beauties!

Low Flying Sheep Clock

Hello.  Welcome.  Gail from the DT here.   I haven't altered a clock for a while, but when I saw the new Textured Spring stamps I decided it was time!  Then Bibi made a very cool card with jumping sheep and well.......

I started with an Ikea clock that I dismantled.  Then I sprayed the plastic frame with green paint and used Pebeo Fantasy Prisma Gold paint in the channel.

I used the net stamp from Retro Beach and gold acrylic paint to add some texture to the clock frame.

I cut a circle of card and using a credit card and my fingers I made a mess with white, green, yellow and purple acrylic paint.

I stamped with green distress inks on the background using Grungy Harlequin and Grungy Swirls background stamps.  I stamped and embossed with black embossing powder lots of flowers from Textured Flowers, coloured them with bright distress inks and fussy cut them.  I placed a circle of half flowers around the edge of my background.

Then I added whole flowers between the halves, a sheep at 6 o'clock and some of the muscari.

I stamped a sheep on acrylic with Staz-on ink and added some legs.   I attached her to the minute hand of the clock.   I have painted the clock hands with Fresco Finish Limelight paint.

I added a fussy cut muscari flower to the hour hand and some doodle wool stamping to the seconds hand.

I hope I have inspired you to stamp a little spring into your life.
There is still time to join the current challenge - Everything Spring.

Thanks for dropping by.  I have made two clocks in this style previously using Rubber Dance stamps, one with Artist Plate Stamps and one with African Animals Stamps.  Just in case you wanted to check them out ;) LOL

I discovered Pocket Letter in 2015 and I loooove making these ATCs!!! :)

Of course, I usually make them in Mixed Media style.

For this one, I started with a Gelli Printed paper (using my 8x10" Gelli Plate and Acrylic Paint).

Do you want to watch my Video? ;)

Selfmade bookmark by Anita

Hello and welcome, Anita from the Design Team here today.

It is Sunday and it's raining outside and what is better on a rainy Sunday than reading a good book? I love books.  I am addicted to books, and as I read the book I always think that I should have had a bookmark. Why not make it my self? Self-done is well done 😄

So I made my self a bookmark and now I want to show you how I did this:

I took a manila tag in size #12 and cut it on both sides approx a centimeter

I used my corner punch and rounded the top corners on my tag

then I took my new and awesome Distress Oxides and started colouring my tag:

I started with Broken China, Cracked Pistasio and Fossilised Amber on my craft mat and spritzed with water and "smeared" the tag into the colours

I used the heat gun and dried between all layers

Then Fossilised Amber and Spiced Marmalade

Fired Brick and Faded Jeans

Cracked Pistachio and Spiced Marmalade

and Faded Jeans

Beautiful creamy colours

I used the vintage script stamp and stamped all over my tag with Distress Oxide Vintage Photo

I also used the colour Vintage Photo around the edges with a ink tool

and then Walnut Stain

I used the Round in Circles stamp and stamped on my tag with Distress Oxide in the colour Iced Spruce

I stamped this beautiful flowers from the Textured Flowers stamp set on a paper I previously sprayed with Lindy's sprays in blue and turquoise

I also embossed the flowers before I cut them out

These flowers are so beautiful!
I glued them down on my tag/bookmark.
I attached also a lace ribbon at the top of the bookmark

And voilà - I've got me a bookmark to use in the book I'm reading.

Stamps I've used on this Project is:

Thank you for visiting. I hope you are inspired to make your own bookmark.

Hugs, Anita
